    1. @broniebrown What program do you use to make the gifs? I currently use photoshop, but It's a little more hasslesome than I'd like

      1. @starlightbolt I use gimp. Nothing fancy and it's available on my Linux machine right now. I haven't done any GIFs with photoshop but I think it's also possible to make some with that.

        1. @broniebrown Yeah it's just kind of more difficult than it needs to be. When I'd rather be like here is a video turn this section into a gif. Instead I have to break it down into individual frames and line them up then make sure it runs fluently

          1. @starlightbolt ffmpeg can output .gif files, and it also has cropping options. It's a bit "raw" but it works great.

            1. @starshine Some I'm guessing I need Git?

              1. @starlightbolt Or a pre-compiled version for whatever system you're using. I'm sure they exist.

          2. @starlightbolt Oh I see... I convert the Video into a image series with "mplayer". Then I open these imagaes as layers into gimp. Then I arrange the frames to get a fluid animation and then I convert this into indexed colors and use the "optimize for GIF" filter.
