  1. # is the fact that we've seen Pound Cake fly but not Scootaloo a continuity error or do you believe there's another explanation? http://ur1.ca/8aaf8

    1. @pony Pound Cake was actually fathered by Princess Celestia. His and his sisters development are atypical.

    2. @pony One explanation I've heard is that when really young their instincts sort of take over and stuff and they lose the ability when they grow older or something along those lines.

        1. @ceruleanspark I could understand Chinese when I was really young and apparently could run and fetch stuff when my Grandmother asked for it in Chinese. I don't know Chinese at all now.

          1. @egnaroesroh I spoke Turkish in much the same way. Now all I get is vague echoes hovering at the edge of my perception.

      2. @egnaroesroh I think that's the most plausible reason. I've also thought maybe it just depends on the pegasus. Even as an older filly/mare Fluttershy isn't a very strong flier while Dash is.. well.. Dash @ceruleanspark That seems more in line with something Princess Molestia would do. :P The way Mr. Cake acted when explaining their inheritance does seem awful fishy. http://www.ponibooru.org/post/view/133714?search=celestia%20comic
