        1. @ceruleanspark That's probably debatable given that there are no one-letter words in her name. Ref: c2.com/cgi/wiki?PascalCase

Friday, 24-Feb-12 11:27:50 UTC from web
          1. @primesonic Just glad to be Friday and have nothing to do in school today.

            1. @princesshugs Half the people in my sector at work are on vacation and/or business trips. So, the place feels a bit empty now. Hopefully, nothing too big will need doing today.

              1. @primesonic Yeah, hopefully.

                1. @princesshugs I just saw Sonic Generations on your background. Any chance you're on Steam?

                  1. @primesonic Yup, I sure am on Steam

                      1. @pretorian Just adding each other on steam.

                      2. @pretorian Steam has been a godsend for me. We don't get much in the way of consoles around here or any official support or sales channels for them either. Steam became my only real way to support the gaming industry while getting access to games at reasonable prices.

                            1. @pretorian I figured when you mentioned getting the shaft from the gaming industry.

                              1. @ceruleanspark Mostly its not to bad, just when they ban stuff for no good reason -_- Syndicate.....*sob*

Friday, 24-Feb-12 11:57:15 UTC from web
                        2. @primesonic That was very very well said and I agree, as long as you have a connection that can download things in a reasonable time it is an amazing thing. In places were you get 5kb/sec connections however I've almost gone insane. EA has made there own one now, Origin. Not as good yet though.

Friday, 24-Feb-12 11:52:34 UTC from web
                          1. @pretorian @ceruleanspark Argentina actually (says so in my profile). Pretty much all of South America doesn't have an official/legal form of console sales. Any console you buy here has already been hacked to play pirated games since there's all you're going to get since anything else would be unaffordable thanks to import taxes and exchange rates. For me, the final nail that drove me to Steam was when I saw Sonic Generations for PC. I knew then that it was my destiny!

                            1. @primesonic Is english your mother tongue?

Friday, 24-Feb-12 11:58:34 UTC from StatusNet Desktop
                              1. @ceruleanspark It could be, though typing too fast and writing "there's" instead of "that's" makes me ashamed of myself for it. :P I spent a lot of time in the US, so I picked up my English from there.

Friday, 24-Feb-12 11:59:50 UTC from web
                                1. @primesonic I just noticed you type it very fluently for someone potentially writing it as a second language.

Friday, 24-Feb-12 12:00:51 UTC from StatusNet Desktop
                                  1. @ceruleanspark For what it's worth, I 'am' completely bi-lingual, though if I had to take a pick of which is my strongest, I suppose it would be English. And hey, it's pretty much the current international language, so it keeps me in touch with all my bronies all over the world. :D

Friday, 24-Feb-12 12:02:41 UTC from web
                                    1. @primesonic Have you always been bilingual? Is it a brain-structure thing?

Friday, 24-Feb-12 12:04:20 UTC from StatusNet Desktop
                                      1. @ceruleanspark I had fluency in Spanish by age 2 and I moved to the US around age 4. I pretty much grew up with both languages both in an out of the home. At this point, having both languages is just a natural thing for me.

Friday, 24-Feb-12 12:06:44 UTC from web
                                        1. @primesonic To what extent do you think that had an impact on your affinity for programming?

Friday, 24-Feb-12 12:07:46 UTC from StatusNet Desktop
                                          1. @ceruleanspark That's an interesting observation. Granted, I started learning about programming at age 12. At that time, I thought of programming languages as naturally as I thought of language itself: just a way to "speak in a way the computer understood me". Sure, these days I think a bit more about the algorithms and optimizations, data structures and object models, and so on and so forth, but in my initial steps it was a rather simple endeavor that came rather naturally.
