    2. @ceruleanspark Nice gun.

      1. @princesshugs Gauss Rifle. My favourite energy weapon.

        1. @ceruleanspark My type of gun.

        2. @ceruleanspark Got to admit though, the gun is a bit OP, using it with the Stealth Armour breaks everything the game had

          1. @pretorian I only every used it in NV, where the stealth armor isn't available. (Except for that one in the Old World Blues DLC, but I think it works differently)

            1. @ceruleanspark ah ok, didn't enjoy NV as much as 3 personally. The world didn't feel as polished.

              1. @pretorian I agree. I am enjoying NV though. I've played 3 absolutely to death, so NV makes for a nice change of scene. (And occasionally even presents a challenge)

        3. @ceruleanspark Anchorage was one of the best dlcs I ever played, if not JUST for the gauss rifle

Friday, 24-Feb-12 12:12:09 UTC from web
          1. @purplephish20 It's a standard weapon in NV. You can just find them lying around

Friday, 24-Feb-12 12:12:39 UTC from StatusNet Desktop
            1. @ceruleanspark Never played NV, after clocking up over 200 hours of gamesome on fallout 3 I decided that the impact on my life was too big to play games like that...

              1. @purplephish20 I have your address. I should start shipping you fallout games to destroy your life

              2. @purplephish20 Don't start Skyrim then!

Friday, 24-Feb-12 12:16:44 UTC from web
                1. @pretorian Skyrim would probably glitch out and become unplayable long before it could destroy his life.

                  1. @ceruleanspark > implying my life couldn't be destroyed even further

                  2. @ceruleanspark I haven't had any glitches at all when I played it, maybe the odd crash but they would be a few dozen game hours apart. Might just be very lucky ^_^ didn't have the same luck when I played NV the first time! Got so many of the things I didn't care for the game anymore, just wanted to see the end.

                    1. @pretorian I got halfway through Skyrim before a bug trapped me in a dungeon and prevented me from continuing in the game at all.

                      1. @ceruleanspark PC? try using console and teleporting, same thing happened to a friend of mine and its the only way he could fix it. There's been 2 updates in the past few weeks aswell, maybe they fixed it?

                        1. @pretorian Console, so no console.

                          1. @ceruleanspark I find this statement humorous. It might be my lack of sleep.

                      2. @ceruleanspark Well I once accidentally locked myself in a bedroom in rivet city... And saved game... I was trapped forever, I had to "rest" until a child spawned in the room with me, I unloaded a clip in his face, applesed off security, and waited about 45 minutes for the "owner" to come storming in to kill me (only he had the keys to the room, not the security guards) and at the start he was probably on the other side of the ship

                2. @pretorian I've not even played any elder scrolls game yet, I know how much time I use up, my best estimate is that I've spent quite a bit over a 1000 hours of my life playing the early Pokemon gameboy games alone.....

                  1. @purplephish20 Me and my friend checked our gametime for Borderlands 1. It adds up to 16 solid days.

                    1. @ceruleanspark never played it.... So it's good? And the add ons?

Friday, 24-Feb-12 12:21:51 UTC from web
                      1. @purplephish20 This was a playthrough with all the addons, yeah. (GOTY Edition). The game is at its best when you play it with a friend, coop. One player gets so very dull. When I was first diagnosed with depression and signed off work, playing it coop with him was one of the things that helped me deal with it .

                        1. @ceruleanspark Playing a video game and doing nothing constructive or usefull for a grand total of 16 days helped ease your depression?????

Friday, 24-Feb-12 12:26:44 UTC from web
                          1. @purplephish20 It helped me come to terms with the fact I suffered from a serious mental illness, and took my mind off of things whilst the strong chemical moderators kicked in. Being with a friend and having a good time is a constructive thing.

Friday, 24-Feb-12 12:31:03 UTC from StatusNet Desktop
                            1. @ceruleanspark chemical moderators?? You mean actual medication that WORKS and is a helpful asset? As opposed to addictive pieces of legal crack that reduces people to blithering wrecks like I see on tv?

Friday, 24-Feb-12 12:33:53 UTC from web
                              1. @purplephish20 Do I, Scribus or Pinhooves seem like blithering wrecks to you?

Friday, 24-Feb-12 12:35:40 UTC from StatusNet Desktop
                                1. @ceruleanspark let me stress that I'm talking about chemical medication, I've heard some terrible stories... My aunt has been on them for years and she's never been able to shake them, they've become a worse problem than the initial depression

Friday, 24-Feb-12 12:37:41 UTC from web
                                  1. @purplephish20 Short of nanomachines and stem-cells, pretty much all medicines are chemical.

Friday, 24-Feb-12 12:42:33 UTC from StatusNet Desktop
                                    1. @ceruleanspark Yeah I'm just referring to actual physical metabolic treatment, as opposed to psychology or whatever the general response is, ive had many problems on and off and I've seen counsilors but I'm still not sure on it all

Friday, 24-Feb-12 12:46:03 UTC from web
                      2. @purplephish20 If you do play it co-op make sure everyone has the same levels and stay about the same! I started playing by myself so I was a few levels ahead, however the scaling is pretty bad so the rest of the team gets owned by a slug.
