  1. Anyone happen to know why @purpletinker's DA, twitter, and website have all suddenly been taken down? I can't find any information from google. She posted a couple journals on her DA before deactivating it, but it won't let me read them because it's been deactivated.

    1. @toksyuryel Tinker replaced her own website with Hypnotoad a while back. Is that what you're seeing now?

      1. @ceruleanspark Nope, I'm getting redirected to twu.net

        1. @toksyuryel That doesn't bode spectacularly well now does it.

          1. @ceruleanspark It certainly would not appear to. The titles of the DA journals I can't read are "Tripcode" and "Moving on", if that helps any with formulating wild theories as to what's going on.

            1. @toksyuryel When was "Moving on" posted? I think that's her "I'm leaving Bronycon" post.

                1. @toksyuryel Oh well in that case, uh.

                  1. @ceruleanspark Restricting the google search to the past 24 hours turns up a couple pastebin'd IRC chatlogs, no clue how accurate they are but at face value they appear rather incriminating. Possibly related? Maybe someone posted these somewhere and she got spooked?

                    1. @toksyuryel what criteria did you use to find them?

                      1. @ceruleanspark Just searched "purple tinker" and then under more search tools selected 24 hours. They should be the top two results then.

                        1. @toksyuryel This is pretty damning. No wonder she's bailed.

                          1. @ceruleanspark Assuming it's true, but given the circumstances I'm willing to believe it.

                            1. @toksyuryel It makes me sad to read it to be honest. That poor woman.

                              1. @ceruleanspark Indeed. Anyway, I really do need to get some sleep. Good night!

                              2. @ceruleanspark I really, really, really hope that they turn out to be typical Internet bogus nonsense. Both for her sake, and that of those going with the expectation of seeing Faust and deLancie. But, with her suddenly disappearing from everything . . . It really doesn't look good.

                                1. @astra Well, the thing to note is that this all happened a month ago. The con is (as is the subject of the logs), in the hands of others now, and they're still listing Faust and DeLancie as attendees. Given their apparent concern on that specific subject, I'd have thought the first thing they'd have done, now it's their own heads on the block, is admit it and offer full refunds if they weren't coming. So I don't think you have anything to worry about on that count. The rest, however, makes me pretty sad.

                                  1. @ceruleanspark Right, it would have happened -- if it happened -- before the change in the chair position, from the way that they are talking. And, given their intention of keeping everything hush-hush, if all of this did go down, I wouldn't call it a lock that the problems with the guests are all fixed now. Time will tell, here. Either this is going to be denied as bogus, or a few people -- the current con chair, for starters -- will have some explaining and/or reassuring to do, and pronto. Either way, some serious damage control will be needed.

                                    1. @astra Well, only time will tell. Regardless, my heart absolutely goes out to Miss Tinker. Nobody deserves to feel lke that over anything.

                                        1. @astra It'd be overstepping our place to send her flowers or something, right?

    2. @ponydude @ceruleanspark Well, that would be a relief for some, though that someone would attack her like that, if that's the case, is troubling.
