  1. So I'm just wondering, does anypony else try to find other bronies in the Texas area by dropping little references here and there in conversation etc? I met a fellow brony IRL for the first time last weekend when I overheard him whistling MLP's opening theme while in the same room as me. Needless to say I immediately approached him, asking "who is best pony?" He mistakenly thought it was Twilight Sparkle, though all observable evidence CLEARLY points to Fluttershy as undisputed best pony! <_< Ahem, also I am entirely immune to being biased here... totally... (/sarcasm). Anyway, I similarly tend to drop hints to those who don't know I'm a brony by saying things like "okey-dokey-lokey!" or "that makes this 20% cooler!" Going back to my original point, do you guys/gals also do this too, or am I just too sheepish about proclaiming the awesomeness of MLP such that I have to semi-hide it through the use of veiled references that only fellow bronies would get?

    2. @fluttershyftw I tend to drop references like that all the time, though I'm usually pretty outgoing about my... uh... bronyhood.

    3. @fluttershyftw I typically wear pony-related accessories around and bronies typically initiate conversation when they notice what I'm wearing. :)

    4. @fluttershyftw That sounds SO awkward. What if he just heard the song somewhere or something and it was stuck in his head?

      1. @policeman I dunno, I suppose I just didn't think of that at the time. I figured he had to know the show if he was whistling the theme. Good thing too, because he was totally a cool guy to meet! ^o^

        1. @fluttershyftw Eh. Glad you met a cool guy, that whole situation is just too much to me. I had a brony I did not know approach me once (I have no idea how he knewI was one) and I just told him I had no idea what he was talking about and ignored him.

          1. @policeman Aw, yeah, I can see how that would be startling coming out of the blue like that. >_< This guy was at a school-related convention, so I think being surrounded by total strangers from other schools except for three of my friends from my school (two of which already knew I loved the show) really helped a lot. I can sympathize with that element of shyness. It would take a lot of courage to admit it when approached by someone else about it with no warning in advance. ^ ^

            1. @fluttershyftw No, I just didn't want to associate with him. I don't very much appreciate being approached at random for a small hobby like such. If I had ponies or something, I would gladly oblidge the fellow, but I was busy walking home and rather prefer to keep business separate from pleasure. He was also a creepy-lookin guy. Regardless, it seemed to get you a friend.

              1. @policeman Ohhh, ok, I get it. Never mind the whole shyness thing then. Eh heh... mayyyy have been projecting there just a little bit. Wait who is my favorite pony again!? <_< >_>
