   Looking at my avatar.. I wonder at what point foals' eyes turn from black dots to proper eyes with pupils and irises, and how that transformation might appear in time-lapse .. I know I'm reading too much into it

      @pony They actualy grow a second pair of eyes above the dot-eyes. The dot-eyes fall out like baby-teeth.

      @thatonepony I meant more like baby-teeth. They grow in behind the dot-eyes and force them out like adult teeth replacing the baby teeth. Then they put the old eyeballs under the pillow for the eye-fairy to collect
