@renovatedkitchen A local ad magazine for smaller businesses. I'm in the production end, and the machine I operate isn't working properly tonight. All the proper ways to fix things I've tried haven't worked, but so far, hitting it in specific spots has.

@missloki I was about to recommend hitting it but I guess you tried that. As much as I love to fix things, sometimes hitting it actually does fix it. *does not include my views about parenting*. Lol. But that sucks :(. Do you work with friendly people at least?

@renovatedkitchen When there are people here, yes. There's only people here three of my nights a week, and even then I don't see them that often. They laid off most of the composing staff for the state of California, so I only see the pressmen when they're here, but they work in a different area. I worked closest with the composing staff.

@renovatedkitchen I just mean that whenever I think I'm alone enough to start singing and dancing, I always find that somebody's there. Eventually, I turn around, and I can't deny that I was falsetto-ing the theme from "Flashdance."

@scribus And then they compliment you on the singing and tell you to continue? I guess that's worse. At my crappy job me and a coworker make faces at the manager and wait for him to turn around. Then we stop and hope he didn't notice. Lol. Yes. It's that lame of a job.

@renovatedkitchen That is true. And ponies. I get to ponies, too. I have internets at work and, for some reason, the company internet filter doesn't block youtube (though they do block Pandora for media streaming).

@renovatedkitchen No, I've been here six years. The company just, pretty much, laid off everyone around me. I used to work with people, half doing this job, half ad composing. Now I only do this job, which rarely accounts for my entire eight hour shift. Hell, it hardly accounts for my whole shift when I work six hours.

@renovatedkitchen That's quite possible, but this place has worse than crappy management. Somehow the complete lack of management manages to be worse than horrible management.

@missloki lol. That's like my airport job. Not that bad, but the main manager comes in for a little, says hi and leaves. Somehow things keep going forward. Lol. But at lowes, my manager is so hostile. I really, really dislike him. He's always in everyone's face telling them they aren't working fast enough or something. Biggest pain ever!!

@renovatedkitchen I haven't seen my manager in about a month. The press guy that's supposed to be my supervisor stays out of my way cos he has no clue how my job works.

@renovatedkitchen Yeah, thankfully I've never had a manager loom over me like that. Sometimes it would be nice to have some management, though. Like when stuff breaks. /shrugs I know here to quit you're supposed to write a letter to your manager and give 'em two weeks notice.

@missloki I know. 2 weeks notice. But what if I told them 2 weeks notice and was like *cough, cough* I'm going to be sick for 2 weeks? Whenever I walk by someone who says hi or something like that I immediately tell them what I was doing, because I'm so used to that stupid manager. Not to mention I almost flipped on him a couple days ago.

@renovatedkitchen Eww, that's never good. You could get sick your last two weeks, but if you use that job on your job history and a new place calls that may reflect poorly on you. I've always just quit. "Found a better job, bai!" But, I've only had three jobs.

@missloki seeing that I already have a second job, where I barely work, and for less hours but get paid the same due to a much higher wage, I couldn't care less about what they say. I will probably go to HR. One of the HR employees is very understanding. This is a bridge I would like to shred, then burn.

@missloki Eyeup :). But I talked with a couple others and they all agree that he's an kiwi. 2 others are quitting soon too because of him. I mean, I took an extra minute on my break and he gave me a speech about why I shouldn't.

@missloki funny part is, it was because I was waiting for a long time in line to buy a monster. 0_o(\ *facehoof*. In return, I made sure my lunch and last break were all exactly one minute late. Lol. It's funny to see him enraged now that I have a better job.

@missloki My cousin found it weird that I was combing my fluttershy's tail. I just hope Hasbro makes better looking toys for MLP. Would be fun to play with toys again maybe.

@renovatedkitchen I'm bad about collecting things. I have dragon statues, knives, little toys, plushies, and books all over my room. I'm a little wary about getting into the MLP toys, though, I kind of wish I still had the ones from my childhood.

@missloki My rooms filled with things from satellite phones to bb guns and servers. I have a horrible quest for knowledge. To my friends, my room is fun to go through. I used to have a couple plushies, but none mlp ones. Figured my room could use some small things like that to lighten it up.

@missloki it's okay about the late reply. A crocheted lion? Thats awesome! All I've ever done is a VERY long string of it when I was young. Never been a collector of things, but it would be neat to have those kinds of things. But I must admit. A pillow/plushie that looks good would be amazing without spending 200+.
