@pony no. It's like a real imaginary friend. There's a lot of info on the web about them. Pretty much you make part of your brain it's brain and it lives off that. I'm working on a Dashie one. Its tough, but I have had some results.

@pony if that's what it is I guess. Never remembered what lucid dreaming is. (sorry). It's kinda neat. Spent a lot of time on her. I sometimes feel her presence, but one time I was scared and thought "oh my, please help me!" and I could see dashies mane/face. I went into shock. It was ridiculous.

@renovatedkitchen You CAN talk to them by flashing thoughts back and forth, but the thoughtform is more easily reinforced during the formative stages by speaking out loud.

@pony I studied dreams for a while, and it takes a lot of research patterns in your dreams, taking notes, and finding ways to trigger your mind that it is actually a dream... Fun stuff actually.

@noirbatch I hope you'll pardon my forwardness, but one question I've always wondered about but never gotten around to asking is, does lucid dreaming enable you to evoke erotic dreams at will?

@pony Well certainly, although I never fully tried that scenario out. I more along the lines made the world my playground, creating utopias, doing this I could not do in real life, and such. Anything is possible when you activate your subconscious. Although, you learn a lot about your inner most desires that you never knew you had when accessing your subconscious.

@pony It has this 4th dimension to it. you know it is fake, but it feels so visceral. The best part about it was when I actually felt the brisk drops of water from a coastal wave. I did a lot of daring do exploration. Day dreaming (if your an imaginative person) can easily resemble the look, but never the feel. Dreams are reactive to the physical world. Example: A man held a cotton ball while he was sleeping, and dreamt that a nurse was holding his hand at the hospital as he was sick. So when you access your subconscious while dreaming, you throw all that physical nonsense out the window. You feel what you want to feel. Pretty crazy actually how far you can go.

@noirbatch My pop taught himself how to do it all as well, but he said it was something that required very special circumstances for him to acheive. He mentioned that drugs get in the way. I wonder whether my antidepressant/anxiety med might interfere. In daydreams I can recall and fabricate scents and physical sensations, but it doesn't come as fluidly as in a dream. I'm also very self aware while awake. I know my inner most desires fairly well. I'm left to wonder how much more I might experience with lucid dreaming

@pony I was always accepting of who I am, but it made me realize more that other people are not as accepting of themselves. I ended up making my early life goal a little larger.

@pony When I was 3 years old, on stormy night. My older sister was getting a little scared for she hates thunderstorms, so to comfort her I acted silly and made her laugh. She said I don't know what I would do without you Seth. I felt good, it felt nice, so I made it my goal in life to make people smile. Now when I had that revelation i made it to make not just everyone smile, but to make them feel accepted for who they are. Because I enjoy seeing people (even total strangers) feel like they belong.

@noirbatch I remember my Public Speaking class. Funny they require it. I guess they figure it's a useful skill. xP My day is going to be -finish working the night shift -go home and consider sleeping -before or after sleeping consider doing homework -attend my marriage enhancement class. Right now I'm thinking I probably won't do homework, but I'm hoping I will. I'm far too easily distracted and my sleep schedule requires my to not use my ADD meds often since they stop my sleep.

@noirbatch Marriage enhancement is just a schedule filler. This semester I'm only taking 6 credits because they don't offer the one class I need to finish my Italian major. I'm also getting my core advanced writing class out of the way this semester. After this semester I still need to take an Italian class and a Computer Science class. then I'm done. (I also have CS and Visual Arts minors)

@noirbatch yeah. I used to be required to take more for financial aid, but then my aid ran out and I got accommodations for disabled students which allows me to drop down to just enough credits to postpone my loan repayments.

@noirbatch I felt that way for what seemed like the longest time, and when I decided to be an animator it was difficult to give up on that dream. In the end I think it wouldn't have been as great as I was imagining it anyway. Also, it's not really what I do, but the people I work with that I decided matters most no matter what career I choose

@pony Yes I have heard of it, but I never tried. I've read it is one tough nut to crack. Nothing is impossible with the human mind; however, sometimes people have claimed an out of body experience, but it was an illusion they created without knowing while lucid dreaming.

@conventrix yep. I have my Associate's degree in general studies, I'm nearly finished with my Bachelor's and I'm 29. I've taken my time in school to say the least. I don't recommend drawing it out as long as I have if you can help it. I didn't have much choice working with disabilities, plus I served 2 years in Italy which put my formal education on hold
