@droplet: I adore the Cutie Mark Crusaders, but don't really consider them quite minor characters, since they have episodes centered on them

@droplet Well, the mane cast means Twilight, AJ, Pinkie, Rainbow, Fluttershy, and Rarity to me. Then there's other major characters like Spike, CMC, Cheerilee, and Celestia who show up multiple times with speaking roles and usually have an amount of influence on other major characters that we'll see in an episode at least. And then there's minor characters that we only see once or twice with very little influence on the other major characters. Cheerilee just barely avoids this since she's the catalyst for events both in Call of the Cutie and The Show Stoppers. Zecora just barely falls into this, because while she appeared both in Bridle Gossip and Swarm of the Century, her role in SotC was almost throwaway-gag level. This is mostly taken with characters like Snips, Snails, Photo Finish, the Great and Powerful Trixie, Braeburn, Delicious Owl, Hoity Toity, and Sapphire Shores. And then there's background characters like Derpy, Lyra, Bon-Bon, and similar who have very little influence.

@marrock Scootaloo has a hard time capturing my heart because she reminds me a lot of a mini Rainbow Dash, but she looks pretty huggly, and her adventuresome side would probably make for a good friend to have around. Apple Bloom has the most screentime of the CMC appearing as the central character in Call of the Cutie and the primary driving force for Bridle Gossip. She's really cute and cuddly, though she can kinda be grating at times. And Sweetie Belle's simply adorable. She sings, she sweeps things with her tail, and her outfit The Show Stoppers was neat, too. x3 She looks fairly huggly, though I bet she can probably cause some trouble, too, left unattended. Though I do think it's kinda amusing how often A> The CMC tends to get covered in sticky stuff as a gag. B> They probably have more closeups of their flanks and rears than all the other characters combined... Possibly. I haven't counted that.

@retl some scootabuse makes me laugh when you can tell that the person who made it is just playing around. but some of it is just plain bad......and usually sticky

@amadman Makes sense. Scootabuse doesn't really do it for me for humor or general amusement, but I figure it's probably just a niche sort of interest thing. :3
