  1. @tesla500 !bcbronies So, just checking, you're ABSOLUTELY SURE you'll be bringing a working projector to this meetup?

    1. @bronymike !bcbronies Yes, in fact I have access to two projectors, I'll bring both just in case. They're both 1024x768 DLP units.

      1. @tesla500 What kinds of cables does it take? Is 1024x768 its max resolution or does that mean something else? Are there VGA and HDMI inputs?

        1. @bronymike Both are VGA input and have ~6' VGA cables. 1024x768 (XGA) is the native resolution, they may accept higher but would scale down to XGA.

          1. @tesla500 I've got like a 20-foot VGA cable, we should be fine on that front. I was mainly concerned about the aspect ratio, actually. The show's in the standard 16:9, so I'm just hoping it won't wind up looking weird and stretched/squished on the screen. And just to be sure, the quality's fine and the colours come out looking right?

            1. @bronymike I finally got around to testing the projectors last night, they both work fine. Aspect ratio is no problem, they show black bars as required to maintain the aspect ratio. One projector is slightly brighter, the other has better color. I'd go with the one that has better color, given that the room has no windows and can be made dark. On the audio side of things, do we have everything required to go from the laptop's 1/8" jack to whatever speakers we're using?

              1. @tesla500 No clue, I'll double-check with the group. !bcbronies What's the situation with the speakers in the conference room? How easily will we be able to plug them into my computer?
