Seriously Jak II,while you ARE more fun than I thought you were back in the day, why must your GTA knock off segments be so tedious to play? !vgp

@leonkfox I find jak 2 open world gimmicks to be pointless jak 3 did the whole open world thing much better

@valiantratchet Jak 3 did the open world thing in the DESERT well... the open world part in the city was very linear (for obvious reason considering half of it had been crushed)

@purplephish20 Yeah the city parts still somewhat sucked

@valiantratchet The city parts of Jak 3 were depressing...... probably the music

@purplephish20 valiantratchet I've not really played Jak 3 beyond a demo with a PS2 Magazine Issue, so I can't comment on it properly.

@valiantratchet I liked it in Jak 1 where it was more akin to Super Mario 64 in terms of its hub world, but I hate in Jak II, I wanna get on with the missions but I have to drive/fly to them and with how many pedestrians and guards there are it's a pain in the kiwi.

@purplephish20 Near the start of the game, doing jobs for that creepy guy in a floating chair, the one who gives you your first...gun... ¬__¬ (I still hate Jak having guns, I really do)

@purplephish20 Doesn't a Shotgun (I don't care what they call it, it's just a bog standard shotgun) count as a proper gun? o.O

@purplephish20 Ah, cool. I do so wish the guns were optional, but with how tough the enemies are they're mandatory, I would play it like the original if they weren't.

@leonkfox I never minded the guns in jak 2 but I can understand your point I've always prefer ratchet and clank to jak the level designs storyline weapons were always just better to me

@valiantratchet Ratchet and Clank easily > Jak as far as the whole series goes. The first Jak game is fantastic and while I am SLOWLY warming up to Jak II, I love every single Ratchet and Clank game in the main series to pieces, I really like Size Matters as well. I've sadly not beaten 2 and 3 due to PS2 Memory Cards hating me ¬_¬ But I vow to correct this with the upcoming HD Collection on PS3.

@leonkfox I always have a hard time figuring out which one is my favorite game in the series its either ratchet 3 or crack in time

@valiantratchet I didn't really get into the series until 2007, I watched a bunch of videos on GameTrailers of a bunch of upcoming PS3 games, and one that caught my eye was Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction, I got the first game for my birthday that year, 3 a bit later and Tools of Destruction alongside my PS3 for Christmas, and now it's one of my favourite game series.
