      1. @ceruleanspark lol thank celestia, Windows as a platform in the server market has finally been justified thanks to Terraria ^o^ (even though those would be hosted on people's PCs more likely :P)

          1. @ceruleanspark All have free alternatives on GNU/Linux more than likely, that's just being all locked into Microsoft's way :D

            1. @twispark Yeah except they don't work anywhere near as well. If they did, I would use them. I've got no funding and no love for microsoft here, but FOSS literally can't provide what I need.

              1. @ceruleanspark Well if you're refering to stuff that work with Microsoft's insane way of doing things then no, because MS is insane with their products, that's why people get sucked in, because only their mad crap can talk to other of their mad crap :D

                1. @twispark That's not insane, that's the business concept of a genius. I hardly know anyone who doesn't curse M$ but most of them buy their products - often because you can't evade to buy them.

                  2. @hakupony I try to avoid hating on MS, they'll be reduced to a support callcentre in time and I'll be sitting on a lawnchair infront of their offices loling like I did (in spirit) to Yahoo!

    2. @twispark Game servers. Far to many games can still only be used on Windows server boxes.

      1. @mrdragon Wine runs most windows applications on Linux :3 But yea I was mostly joking, I know why, ofc it's because Windows is a horrible market dominating anticompetative dole that makes it complusory for a lot of people, I meant it more when talking about websits with PHP or such :P

        1. @twispark For sites it's just a stupid idea, far to easily open to attack and to much of a resource hog for it's crap.

        2. @twispark The rule should be: If you run PHP on IIS on Windows they should take you out back and shoot you.
