      @queenchrysalis I wasn't expecting the villain to be anything but Cadence being just evil, so that it turned out to be a changeling was unexpected. I felt that the songs and the plot put the episodes on par with the best Disney movies easily.

            @rarity Nah, cuz they already did that with NM/Luna. My first idea that Cadence wouldn't be the villain was seeing all the Cadence toys advertised. Hasbro isn't going to make toys of their villains for this show. So knowing from episode teasers about a terrible secret Cadence supposedly has, and seeing her first react to Twilight, I was like "hmm doppleganger."

        @rarity I am glad that they didn't use the Elements on me. That gets old really fast. Not saying getting beat by the power of love is a honorable defeat, just that it is better than getting beat by a couple gems.
