  1. Can't we all just agree that the only elected figure that could actually "save america" at this point is Princess Celestia? Between the corporate interests and the deeply embedded corruption, literally the only being that could fix america overnight is a magical alicorn princess.

      2. @pony And the american right wing would STILL hate her.

        1. @ceruleanspark Sadly that's probably true. I think extreme leftists would too though honestly.

          1. @pony I'm an extreme lefty and i would approve of her politics, but as a democrat, I would not like to have a monarch.

            1. @hakupony That's good to hear. I'm fairly centrist myself. I wouldn't normally want a monarch, but if it's a good monarch who won't hypothetically die or who will at least leave us with a reliable permanent replacement once gone, I'd be all for it!

              1. @pony Yes, Celestrias immortality does change things for a bit since we could be sure our queen would be a wise and kind one. In this (very fantastic) situation, I propably would accept monarchy because the reasons for democracy would be gone.

                1. @hakupony right. When a good monarch dies anything can happen, but if she were immortal we'd be pretty much golden.

        2. @ceruleanspark That's democracy for you. I can't think of one single politician who was loved by everyone.

    3. @ceruleanspark Especially since she would be actually smart enough to plan ahead of crises as she did in Ponyville.

    4. @ceruleanspark Nothing will be fixed. All we can do is frolic in our field of ponies and wish away all our misfortunes.

      2. @alargesmallhorse Interesting, you just said exactly what some Maoist on youtube said about MLP...

        1. @hakupony That's... a good thing?

          1. @alargesmallhorse It's interesting. He argued that people lost religion as Opium, so they need another painkiller against the injustice of society. He also argued it was perfectly normal to choose a setting as MLP because people were meant to live in a much more harmonic friendly way. I tended to agree with him but in my opinion, he looked to much on the setting and not enough on the characters.

                2. @hakupony I loved that. He does make some interesting points and i do share his sentiment about the normalcy of escaping as a brony.
