    2. @greydragon412 leachers make it worst; basicaly the more seeders you have the faster the download is, the more leachers the slower it is...

      1. @zennx To be accurate, a leecher is a user who is not contributing to the torrent. They are downloading without sharing in return.

    3. @thatonepony I would like an argument to support your thesis plz

    4. @thatonepony can you add a source that makes that right?

    5. @greydragon412 question are you using BitTorrent?

Saturday, 28-Apr-12 19:55:29 UTC from StatusNet Desktop
    6. @greydragon412 the program you are using, where you can see the progress and stuff, is it called BitTorrent?

    7. @greydragon412 Have you configured your router properly for torrents? Having it not set up right doesn't stop torrents working, but it makes them slow as hell.

        1. @cavatina The term to look up is "port forwarding". How to do it varies from router to router, but the simple gist of it is "Set up a reserved IP for your torrent machine, and tell the router to allow traffic on your torrent clients ports to that IP"

    9. @greydragon412 It might just be that the peers you're downloading from have poor upload bandwidth. The number of seeders isn't the only factor in making a torrent fast/slow.

    10. @thatonepony true, but my point is still valid: Seeds>Peers = good Seeds<Peers = bad

      1. @zennx Seed is a subset of peer. A peer is a seed whom you are connected to.

    11. @thatonepony incorrect, Example: I use Vuze, 100% completed and upldoading are maked as seeds, and those who are downloading are maked as leechers, the peer part is marked by making the leechers bar appear as (ex:) 25/72 wich means that I'm receaving from 25 of those 72 total leachers
