      1. @foxgopher @hakupony @mahvelpony Start on this one: ### Tene whirled around, snatching a dagger from his saddlebag. In an instant he had Clara pinned down, and held his blade, which was gripped in his teeth, to her neck. As soon as he saw who she was, he threw the blade aside. "Oh my gosh! I am SO sorry! Are you alright?" He asked, backing away.

        2. @dlcentaur The scene turned out to be pretty cliché :)

          1. @hakupony Fairly so, yes. It's meant to start the reveal of his past. How exactly is it cliche and how can I avoid doing so in the future?

            1. @dlcentaur By doing so, I mean by making the story Cliche

            2. @dlcentaur That doesn't mean it was bad - 50% of scenes in RPGs are somewhat Clichés. However, the ovious lie about the branding, the way it i revealed and how your playpartner reacted to it was like out the playbook :)

              1. @hakupony Welp, I was going for a fairly typical response to that certain situation. In embarrassing situations I don't think there are many ways to not act cliche. Simply put, would you have reacted the same way if your darkest secret was just about to be displayed to a stranger? The circumstances called for a cliche and so I went with a cliche. I try not to be a cliche writer, though.

                1. @dlcentaur I would have reacted in quite another way, but I am not cour character :)

                  1. @hakupony How would you have reacted?

Sunday, 29-Apr-12 07:45:31 UTC from web
                    1. @dlcentaur After: "come on. Whatever your hiding cant be that bad." I would have reacted agressive - if I don't want to reveal my secreets, I am allergic to people tryin to talk me into it.

                      1. @hakupony Ahh, ok. Tene reacted in that way because he is aggressive, but never towards those that are kind towards him. The lack of love in his life has made him very sensitive and caring in his relationships. He couldn't react violently because of his past and because of who he is. (Yes, I really do think through all of these things while posting) So, though my posts seem cliche, there is actually a Lot of thought that goes into them.

                        1. @dlcentaur Clichés are not bad - as long as they are not overdosed. They make a story work.

                          1. @hakupony And that's what I'm trying to avoid xD I want to be as original as I can while still allowing my readers to feel emotion and sense that Tene isn't a freak (But he's not exactly normal either)

                        2. @dlcentaur *because, though he is aggressive,*
