@carcinopony Eh, I'm not very judgmental towards a Pokémon's skills. I just use whatever ones I like best, whether they're powerful or not.

@theskyisfalling im usually like that too but he was god awful in all my fights. on top of that my friends all ev train and I dont so I had to import my team from soul silver. maybe I'm just picky?

@carcinopony I've got OCD so I have to EV train or else the imperfection will haunt me FOREVER. I hate it, though. Wait, at what point in the game can you import Pokémon from older generations? 'Cause you used to not be able to do it until you beat the Elite Four...

@carcinopony Oh, so you still have to wait? That sucks... Especially since even though I've been playing since Pokémon Red/Blue I've never actually beaten the Elite Four... I always just beat all the Gym Leaders and get stuck in a rut trying to train for the Elite Four...

@carcinopony D'aww, I have White too so we can't trade exclusives... Oh well, trading's still useful because of the experience boost... It occurs to me now that I actually have no idea how to trade Pokémon with someone over the internet, other than that it's possible...

@theskyisfalling you need to trade friend codes and then use the trading center in the pokecenters. quite simple.

@abigpony That's exactly what I'm saying, I don't fuss about the new ones anymore. I was always whining about Gen3 & Gen4, but for Gen5 I just shut up and enjoyed it. Much happier, that way! I love all the generations of Pokémon nowadays!

@abigpony I don't get the appeal of the merchandise, honestly. I don't feel the urge to comb a scaled replaca of Rainbow Dash's inaccurate hair, and they feel more like little showcase figureines of cheap, soft plastic, last time I felt one. Although I must admit, I'm pretty much annoyed by any sort of toy besides Legoes, their off-brands, and army men, so I may be a bit biased.
