                1. @hakupony thanks! I'm just wondering, is there another way of solving: x(x - 4x) + 5x^2

Thursday, 03-May-12 18:18:27 UTC from MuSTArDroid
                  1. @derpyshy Let's see, you can solve the first bracket easily. x-4x is -3x. Now multiply it with x and you get -3x². The next step is easy. 5x²-3x²=2x²

                    1. @hakupony I think I get it. But are you sure there's supposed to be a minus, and not a plus in this part? 5x²-3x²=2x²

                      1. @derpyshy No. You really got (-3x²)+5x² I just wrote it the other way vecause I'm lazy at typing >< Do you understand it or do you want me to tell you another way?

                          1. @derpyshy No problem - most math teachers are that much used to extremely complex ath that they can no longer imagine that someone could struggle with something so simple.

                            1. @hakupony Our teacher's not like that, but she didn't say we could do it that way :)
