    2. @oracle which is too complicated to easily memorize, and thus must be written down somewhere. Good job

    3. @oracle I've been thinking of switching to this

          1. @pony oh yeah I believe that

        2. @rarity My password for RDN is over 30 characters long and includes things not in any dictionary so it would take decades to break by brute force. Meanwhile my password for my journal is rather whimpy.

          1. @pony my rdn password used to be 9 numbers, then i added some letters

Monday, 16-Dec-13 03:23:04 UTC from web
            1. @mushi 9 is a good minimum number of characters I'd say. That sounds like a good password unless it stayed 9 characters and the cracker knew it was only numbers, then it's be fast to crack.

              1. @pony well i think whoever someone dedicates time to find a password a freaky guy uses to log on a rainbow horse website needs some therapy

            1. @rarity Thing is, any decent password cracker will use a dictionary with their brute force thing that includes all common words, names, and and algorithm to create 733T permutati0ns of them. In effect, the alphabet exands to include entire words and names so, even though there are still a lot more possibilities, a computer can crack a password comprised of 4 common words rather quickly. It'd be much safer to use 8 or 9 words plus a character of punctuation.

              1. @pony then add the punctuation

    4. @oracle okay then
