          @scoot Depends on the size and what it's made from... mine is a 10.1 and seems to be made of lead and cast concrete...

                      @scoot It's the one "luxury" item I got recently, I didn't want to take a chance of something happening to this tablet while it's banging around in my backpack with me... rather a $30 case than replacing a $300 tablet.

                        @colfax Absolutely, that does make sense. Also sometimes it's nice to buy things you want but might not entirely /need/ every once in a while, I guess

                          @scoot This case claims to protect the tablet from a 5' drop, which just happens to be how high my bed is off the floor...

                          @scoot And it's definitely gives it more protection than the flimsy leather folio case I used to use.

                            @colfax Yeah I dunno how much my one protects my tablet, since it has managed to get small cracks around the screen even when in the case.
