            @derpyshy I just don't like them. Normal ties are much more subtle - and even they are sometimes too much :)

      @woona Even though derpyshys is humanistic, it is an event when young people confirm they want to be part of a religious community. This also is the point that religious community considers them adults - this is why they have to decite for themselves now. Most people (including me when I was that age) do it for the presents and do not care about what this day is supposed to mean though.

      @woona I can't talk about derpyshy but I am not religious and left the church when they wanted to start meddling with my life (and long before they could have gotten any money from me). I'm even doing what I can to fight its power over our state.

      @woona There are hundrets of thousands who go on a pilgramage to the city where I live - and there is a cathedral. The field I'm going to work in is dominated by about 70% with the churches who would rather not let me work for them. Germany can be bucked up as well..

      @woona They don't speak clear german. Especially if I'm at home (Saarland) - but I speak like this as well, so it's no problem.
