  1. @mintystarshine Not only is your art fabulous, but your taste in music is also pretty badass.

    1. @clayinthecarpet Thanks so much! What kind of music do you like? :D

      1. @mintystarshine Looooooooooots of stuff. I've been on a huge house/electronic music kick for the last couple of months, but I dig lots of obscure 80s and 90s rock/metal, tons of folk music, and even some rap from time to time.

        1. @clayinthecarpet I LOVE 80's and 90's stuff plus some early 2000's. Lately I've been getting into folk stuff too. It's pretty cool.

          1. @mintystarshine I'm all over the map. I listen to old motown and doo-wop from the 40s and 50s, too.

            1. @clayinthecarpet I love that stuff too! :D I haven't met a lot of people who love it. I LOVE jazz and swing from the 40's. It's awesome.

              1. @mintystarshine I'm not much for jazz, unfortunately. I also can't stand crooning singers...Frank Sinatra and anything similar to it isn't my bag.

                1. @clayinthecarpet I'm actually not really that familiar with Sinatra's work. So you're not a fan of the Crosbys, Andrew Sisters, the Ink Spots, or Louie Armstrong or anything like that?

                  1. @mintystarshine Nope. Too smart for me. Too slow, and I can't relate to the mindset of the music.

                    1. @clayinthecarpet I understand. :3 So who are some of your favorite artists/bands from that era?

Monday, 13-Jan-14 22:50:12 UTC from web
                      1. @mintystarshine Roy Orbison is the biggest. The Chordettes are nice, though I haven't heard much from them. Del Shannon (though that's technically 60s), The Mommas and the Papas, uhhh, and this big-ass collection of doo-wop classics I have here on the computer...though I'm not specifically familiar with many of the bands in particular. Classic songs like Mr. Postman and all that.

                              1. @mastertdi Something about it is pure magic, dude. Those voices had power and uniqueness about them.

                                1. @clayinthecarpet I should listen to more of them sometime

Monday, 13-Jan-14 22:58:00 UTC from web
                                  1. @mastertdi I've liked everything I've heard, but I haven't been adamant about like, buying their albums or anything.

                        2. @clayinthecarpet Very cool! I love Roy Orbinson too. I've heard of The Mommas and the Papas but I'm not sure if I've actually heard any of their music. I've never heard of Del Shannon, though. I love classic stuff. :3
