    A thought about a way to tie in different parts of a timeline in a novel... instead of writing for characters in the same families why not make it a less final string of similarity or relation? I'm thinking something like Link in the Legend of Zelda games? Well maybe only in the fact that they all share names, not that they'd all be heroes oh no.
