@nicklecat Among those lost were the millionth 'vette to roll of the line, a prototype ZR1 race car, and the 1,5 millionth to roll off the line. It could have been much worse but still... the millionth one was a really cool thing.
-
@nicklecat Nor am I; much more a Toyota person.
-
@nicklecat Not a bad choice overall, I'm proud of the fact that they decided against a government buyout unlike the other 2 American automakers. Or indeed most of the world's automakers, for that matter.
-
@nicklecat Who is John Galt?
-
@nicklecat From a book (kind of concerning gov't buyouts) that I wouldn't recommend really.
-
@nicklecat Well it isn't Galt who talks about it... the book is Atlas Shrugged by Ayn Rand. It was essentially, a book set in the not-distant future, written in 1957, where the government starts taking over business after business.
-
@nicklecat Yes, actually. Almost serves as propaganda for the philosophy she had created, called objectivism.
-
@nicklecat I keep forgetting about this connection, but if you know of Bioshock, the first game especially, took a great deal of it's premise off of the book.
-
@nicklecat Oh I adored the first game for the story and the atmosphere.
-
@nicklecat Second I had played a bit of, don't really remember it but Infinite? Oh, I liked it too. Got me into Scot Joplin again.
-
@nicklecat King of Ragtime, baby! You may recognise this song http://ur1.ca/gmhhd
-
@nicklecat Others I'd definitely recommed are the Maple Leaf Rag, Bethena and Pineapple Rag.
