    2. @comradebitshift How did you know @purpletinker was lurking? Was it pony magic?

      1. @pony I am the pony ghost in the pony machine.

        1. @purpletinker @pony Nah, she just fell into the server one day and can't find her way back out, so we just e-mail her food and water.

      2. @pony She made a post, which mine was originally a response to, that's now gone (I assume she had a reason for it being gone, so that's fine by me).

        1. @comradebitshift I just nuked an earlier version of the post when I realised that it wouldn't let me insert carriage returns into my Wall-O-Texts.

          1. @purpletinker Ah, makes sense. I think carriage returns _will_ post, but get turned into plain spaces on the site. Not ideal for longer posts.

          2. @purpletinker @comradebitshift You can insert carriage returns into posts using Statusnet desktop, and the carriage returns ARE stored in the DB, however, the site just ignores them. Any client that actually respects them /will/ display them though.

            1. @ceruleanspark Note: If your first thought was "Man, that's retarded", this is the standard response to exposure to statusnet.

            2. @ceruleanspark I'm not entirely sure what IdentiCurse does with them, at least not without looking at that bit of the code.

        2. @comradebitshift gotcha. Yeah I missed that
