  1. Ah yes I remember why I'm watching this. I like to remind myself how traumatized I was and am

    1. @rarity West coast here, I didn't wake up until the actual attacks were over. First thing Dad said to me was "The World Trade Center is a pile of rubble on the ground. They say it's the start of World War 3." And my reaction was complete disbelief: "What is this, like a 'War of the Worlds' hoax?"

      1. @scribus I was seven, and my mother came and got me out of school a few minutes after the second plane hit. I went to school a few miles from the Federal Center (where my grandfather worked) in Battle Creek, which at the time was considered to be on the list of top 10 gov't buildings to be targeted for terrorism. So yeah, very very traumatizing to a kid

          1. @scribus we were afraid that after they hit the Pentagon too especially, since that meant they were doing a widespread attack

            1. @rarity I kind of lucked out on location. Californians don't even know where Mira Loma is.

                1. @rarity I'm pretty confident that Mira Loma is actually planet Earth's armpit.

            2. @rarity Took a load off of my mind, but there was still enough to worry about anyway.
