      @stardust i was first EOD but didnt make it through phase one, then I was transferred to 15u ch47 Chinook helicopter mechanic

      @stardust oh approaching that ordinance and having no idea what it is, one of the greatest thrills ever. EOD techs were all viewed as insane by all the other members of the ordinance corps

         @cloudflare at least you guys got protective wear and the cool robots. Us CE's just go in with c4 and a metal detector and hope we don't die

            @stardustalchemistwitchmeruru ya we never approached with the suit unless we knew what it was, you would approach in your skivvies and prayers that it wasnt a seismic trigger or a clockwork fuse

               @cloudflare seismic what? I just blow stuff up man. (But actually we pretty much did the same except we had other jobs too. We were mainly "EOD lite" that occassionally carried our rifles to possibly fire back if we took contact)

                     @cloudflare I never dealt with public highways. We usually only found them along dirt roads because it was easier for the talibs to dig up.
