    2. @clayinthecarpet all the stuff i do is mostly free except my youtube banners and desktop wall papers cause those things i spend over 48 hours of work into just to get the desired look or what looks apsolutly amazing and every commision comes with the final one and a temp stand in while i finish so they can't complain. and i only change $10. so they get a good deal if you ask me

            1. @clayinthecarpet srry i don't like ripping people of when they can get the same quality for half what they were offering

              1. @mlpxcarbon Why do you feel you're ripping people off? You said you spent 48 hours on that one banner

                    1. @clayinthecarpet ik i just don't personaly think my stuff is worth much and most of my work i have given for free cause i didn't have payment set up.

                      1. @mlpxcarbon Have pride in what you do. I give my stuff away because I think someone DESERVES my talent for nothing, not because I devalue my work and myself for creating it. TAKE THE REIGNS, MANG.

                        1. @clayinthecarpet i have some really demotivating art teachers in the past so my physical drawing skillz have diminished and i don't give myself any grace when i do make somthing that looks good. like my mother responce to all my art is "ugh".

Saturday, 17-May-14 03:38:58 UTC from web
                          1. @mlpxcarbon Your mother is crappy towards all that and your art teachers are worthless. Teaching art is worthless. Useless. Someone will do what they do regardless of what you say, and they're just making you devalue what you're going to do and like to do because they think it's a waste of time. Their Opinions Do Not Matter.

                            1. @clayinthecarpet Untrue. Art teachers are good when they focus on technique and history of art, and some focus on expression (whilst expression isn't something I particularly care for it is appealing to angry dudes like you I guess)

Saturday, 17-May-14 03:44:52 UTC from web
                              1. @nerthos That's true. Art history is one thing, but dictating how to express oneself "properly" is another.

Saturday, 17-May-14 03:46:01 UTC from web
                                1. @clayinthecarpet I won't get in a discussion about expression because sincerely I don't care about it, but my point is that there's good and bad art teachers like with any assignment.

Saturday, 17-May-14 03:47:15 UTC from web
                                  1. @nerthos I do agree with that. My point was just that you can't teach anyone *now* how to "create art"...Art is so subjective. It can be valid to anyone who finds it valid. I've had people tell me that even my stuff affected them deeply and they love it, and it's just ponies. Doesn't that make my art valid? However, it would not be a valid expression to some teachers who stress rigid adherence to manufactured rules they've conjured out of thin air and collective perception of a small group.

                                    1. @clayinthecarpet Adherence to stupid rules isn't exclusive to art, it happens in a bunch of areas.

                          1. @mlpxcarbon Take it from a seasoned vet at being an asshole to anyone who disagrees with your methods of expressing yourself. None of that matters. Value what you do. Time is money.
