            @mrmattimation The writers and animators of the show generally reference certain ideas the fandom has about the character(s) in their work. They say "We're unable to read fanfics" but I don't think that's the full story because so many songs and other work out there link obvious ideas together. Dislestia's ship is obviously fan-inspired, and that's now kinda canon.
