  1. !3DS dunno if anyone's mentioned it here yet but Pokémon X and Y have a new Mystery Gift available. It's a 'fancy' pattern Vivillon that's only going to be available until the 31st of this month.

      1. @mrmattimation Would you like me to show you the picture of my 3DS with it? Do you know how to use Mystery Gift? Wifi on?

          1. @mrmattimation It's not rude. They're legitimate questions.

            1. @thewaifutyphoon Considering Mystery Gift doesn't need to be activated in this game and your 3DS Wi-Fi is on straight from boot-up... In any case, it showed up the second time i checked.

              1. @mrmattimation my 3DS Wi-Fi isn't on straight from boot-up because I only turn it on when it's needed. Otherwise it's off because it drains battery.

              2. @mrmattimation and mystery gift doesn't need to be unlocked but it does need to be activated in the menu for you to get the lady to pop up at the Pokémon Center.

    2. I'm pretty sure they're all going to be Rash nature (+Sp Atk, -Sp Def) and going to have Shield Dust, which isn't /horrible/ but I have no idea how Vivillon patterns work with breeding so

    3. @thewaifutyphoon Thanks for sharing! I don't have a 3DS, but I love pokemon and know how it feels when you could've gotten a epic pokemon for free, but missed out on it.

      1. @derphoove I don't think it'll be hard to find them if their patterns transfer over via breeding, but I wanted to mention it incase anyone here was also trying to collect all of the different Vivillon patterns

        1. @thewaifutyphoon Well, usually they can't transmite through breeding. Surta like a shiny breeding with another, youll get a normal chance of a shiny.

          1. @derphoove Vivillions aren't shinies though.

            1. @mrmattimation yeah but you can't breed patterns over. It's based on the region you're in so these are actually going to be 'unique'.

              1. @thewaifutyphoon oh. I don't exactly know how that works. I mostly don't care about Vivillion's. The only reason I care about this one is because I literally can't play a game knowing I missed out on an event pokemon, no matter how useless.

                1. @mrmattimation When the egg is created it's pattern is chosen based on the region that your 3DS is set to. It happens the same time your trainer ID and all that other crap happens. If you breed an egg that would become a Vivillon with the Continental Pattern and sent it to someone who would be creating Elegant Pattern Vivillons, it'll hatch and become a Continental Pattern with your friend's OT attached to it.
