      1. @metaltao I'm glad you like it. I would draw her casting eyes and sporting socks for you, but I haven't gotten the hang of socks at all.

          1. @pianissima It is uncannily like a certain John Joseco painting, if you don't mind my saying. Did you use his "Manga Style Luna" as a base?

              1. @pianissima He has a good style. I draw my style from ECMajor, Longinius, and Stradivarius, mostly.

                        1. @metaltao I mean that we are talking about our craft. We love it dearly enough to share our inspirations with each other, as artists.

                          1. @loveydoe yup yup. I hate when people are like. 'nop, i dont draw anything similar to anyone ever.' good artists need to get over their ego and say, yeah, im not above borrowing a pose or doing my own take on a specific concept.

Sunday, 13-Jul-14 07:30:10 UTC from web
                            1. @pianissima I found it helpful to sketch ECMajor's work to see how he did things, but I now use constructive anatomy and thumbnailing to design poses. You're right - we have all of history before us to learn how to draw from, including modern artists and old masters.

Sunday, 13-Jul-14 07:33:18 UTC from web
                              1. @loveydoe yeah. I spent like 2 months doing mlp anatomy so I can draw stuff. Its great to adapt styles etc and see what you can add to it. I have a big library on my cpu of i think over 200 now poses that ive drawn out, 75% of them are mine, others are re-sketches of poses i enjoyed. It makes just practicing so much faster not to mention those commissions that you really dont want to do
