      @metaltao <twilight>We speak something like a creole that blends a French and Latin superstrate with an Anglo-Saxon substrate. I think that for many concepts in our language, there is a learned (Latinate), noble (French), and knave (Saxon/Germanic) version, all separate.</twilight>
