@northernnarwhal i kinda liked recess more than leaving EP bc it seemed he was trying to branch out from brostep a little more

@voxxxrebel I actually thought on his earlier stuff he had some neat noisey tones on some of his synths, and a lot of the tracks off My Name is Skrillex had a bit of a dancey house vibe to them. Recess really just feels like him cashing in on an already stale market, and the music is awfully predictable as a result.

@northernnarwhal true. but i also think hes trying to get away from his brostep phase and try to become a better artist bc of his leainv ep i think hes just trying to be experimental but still keep his usual edm vibe with him

@voxxxrebel I liked Leaving because it had some future garage elements, but Recess was anything BUT experimental. It felt formulaic and he was using incredibly basic patterns of sample -> subdivide rhythm in 4s -> fuzzy synth -> repeat for 4-5 minutes. Pretty much a bad parody of himself.
