    1. @greydragon412 What a gip! The prelude and opening them aren't even battle themes; I want a refund! :P

    2. @greydragon412 Yeah, I was joking. It's all good, though I prefer the later bits because they're more of a remix; if I wanted to listen to the prelude or opening theme, I could always just listen to the official orchestral arrangements already out there.

    3. @greydragon412 Also (though I would be surprised if this is the case) if you haven't yet, listen to The Black Mages' stuff, it's bloody amazing. :)

    4. @greydragon412 Holy ****, that arrangement of the FFIII final battle. #

    5. @greydragon412 You, sir, have excellent taste. (Though I've always loved Clash on the Big Bridge, and their version is no exception. And to answer your other question, I will post this just before that's due to start, so you can sync up pretty closely based on that.)

    6. @greydragon412 Searching for friends :D (VI Had best music)

    7. @greydragon412 VI was the first one I played (worked my way back through in almost reverse-chronological order, skipping III initially because the translation patch available at the time was godawful), so it'll always have a place in my heart, and even then I wouldn't say it has the best music overall. But it's very consistently at least good, and its Decisive Battle is _way_ up there.

      1. @bitshift indeed, 1 was my first (didn't have the manual so it was a pain in the butt to but equipment and what not) 6 was the first I beat, and lets face it, Kefka succeeded, unlike most villians in well, anything

        1. @lyrica Also, unlike most others, he has no dark past that's driving him to be villainous, he's just a complete jerk (that, and he's bat**** insane) and he enjoys it. It's refreshingly different, if nothing else. (Also, UWEE HEE HEE)

          1. @bitshift that laugh still gives me chills to this day XD

            1. @lyrica Even after all this time (seriously, I played VI when I was 8 or 9), I can still remember it very clearly. Which is why I was very surprised when the same little clip made a cameo in Chrono Trigger (in the jail near the start, when you're being dragged to your execution, one of the other prisoners does it, iirc).

          2. @bitshift One could argue that the magictek experiments did it to him, but he was already insane before those.

        2. @lyrica In terms of success, there is now one FF villain who has managed to surpass Kefka. But you have to play XIII-2 for that.

          1. @toksyuryel Surpassed the near-destruction of an entire world? HOW

      2. @bitshift I had the misfortune of playing VII and VIII first, but I still ended up liking IV V and VI better. Though I still find that I like IX most of all. XII is also better than a lot of people give it credit for.
