      1. @northernnarwhal Howed you feel about it?

        1. @pandabear Well, it was certainly interesting to say the least. It felt a lot more tranquil and introspective than An Awesome Wave, and compositionally it featured a lot more African rhythms and triad patterns. So I could safely say it's both eclectic and inspired. Now, that being said, there's really a lot to take in with this record, and I feel it was a bit long winded at times, though perhaps some of the material just needs to gestate with me more. Overall I'd say I liked it, but I'm going to give it a few more listens to see how it grows on me.

          1. @northernnarwhal I need to listen to it more myself, but so far, the biggest thing I can say is that it's definitely different, and like you said, inspired. It is definitely a new direction, I'm just not sure exactly how I feel about the new direction yet.

            1. @pandabear I haven't gotten a chance to listen to it again yet. It's been a hectic day.

            2. @pandabear What was so interesting about An Awesome Wave was that it was able to cleverly fuse fuzzy psychedelic guitar-play with indie pop vocal melodies, along with a dash of folk influence and it all culminated very nicely. It was a breath of fresh air and an exciting record to say the least. This Is All Yours really boosts the the folk instrumentation and it all feels a lot more jammy as well, which is to say the least worthy of applause as a new direction. But good ideas are nothing without good execution, and I feel there's just too much to take in within a single sitting, so I'll listen to it some more tomorrow.

                1. @pandabear Yeah, this is all pretty much my initial thoughts. Also, on the topic of records growing on me, I've been really digging the new DFA1979 a lot more after repeated listens.
