      1. @nerthos Y'aye! I just hope she can figure out how to use that link, many teachers I have met have trouble with links to images.

        1. @metaltao Well, the government issued computers to highschool students so there shouldn't be a problem with using gifs.

          1. @nerthos Ahhh, that is cool! I just hope it works out, last time my school did that, half of the computers were not very durable, so, they ended up freezing and becoming unresponsive over time. That, and not a lot of people knew the intricacies of how to properly handle a computer, especially patience. :L

            1. @metaltao They're pretty durable. I have one of the first generation from when I graduated, and my brother has one of the current batch. Then again, the barbaric apes that pose as students often find ways to break even the hardiest things, but so far they've been holding up. Plus if they break them they can't play Counter Strike in the free periods.

              1. @nerthos OOOO! That is a good incentive! XD To keep the computers safe, let them play games!

                1. @metaltao Quite a few times I've played Homeworld, Gothic 1, Diablo 2 and Age of Empires 2 on mine.

                    1. @metaltao AoE2 is one of the games I've played the most trhough my live. I've also played 1 a bit and most of 3 except a part of the Asian Dynasties campaign. Still haven't finished the AoE2HD extra campaigns.

                      2. @nerthos One of the thing I loved about AoE is the aesthetics of the destruction. My god, especially in AoE3, the cannons were so much fun to use! *boom! Infantry go flying in all directions* Magnificent!

                        1. @metaltao So many times I've used artillery formations in that game. I often just holed up with a few artillery batteries and one or two infantry formations to protect them, and lured enemies with light cavalry into the way of cannon fire to finish battles without losses.

                          1. @nerthos Now that, is some leadership. Mentioning how you protect them, it is great to maximize efficiency. I should try that, once I get a PC that can run the game again. ;=;

                            1. @metaltao I'm an amazing tactician-strategist when there is no small time limit, sine I work things out in a way that I have close to no losses, if any. Timed missions are my bane though.

                              1. @nerthos Agreed, I am not good under pressure, unless it comes to a defensive strategy, but I am mangoes at offensive. I can slowly make my way to the enemy and eliminate them. In essence, I play like a fungus. And, I love it. I sometimes get lost just perfecting my base and equipping everything I need. I just can't do things under a time limit.

                                1. @metaltao If I'm allowed to build an army for an specific objective, I can carry flawless offensives, my issue is mostly with "Take these few random soldiers and hit that fortified position a la WWI trench rush without the proper support to do so"

              2. @nerthos Also, thinking back on it now. It might be some bias in what I saw, I mean, sure there were a lot of broken computers, but all in all, there was still a large and significant majority that weren't...

                1. @metaltao Personally I'd just issue contracts along with the computers (which the ones here have, though I don't remember the details) and have any damage be covered by whoever broke it, and decomission the individual's computer if they prove too irresponsible.
