  1. I'm kinda hoping that us in canada will show how to properly react to situations like this; in other words, not going crazy and declaring a police state.

    1. @techdisk Just give the soldiers standing guard more gear and clearance to shoot and this exact situation won't happen again.

      1. @righteousnarwhal No, that's the American approach. The Canadian approach is to make it much harder for idiots to get guns in the first place.

        2. @techdisk Making guns more illegal is absolutely stupid, because someone thinking about doing something illegal will get illegal weapons and there'll be less people able to defend themselves.

          1. @righteousnarwhal Doesn't make it stupid, it makes it harder for them to get guns. period. it's not like its a right for people to have guns. Those who really want to get a gun will still be able to get one, but it will be harder all tthe same, therefore decreasing the amount of shootings.

              1. @righteousnarwhal Like I said, gun control doesn't stop responsible people from owning guns.

          2. @righteousnarwhal I'm not certain if you know how most gun control laws work, but it doesn't actually stop law-abiding citizens from getting guns. Just the people who are insane. Of course criminals are gonna get them anyways, but there are some cases-like that of the Virginia Tech shooting-where the shooter had little to no criminal history, yet should have been deemed mentally unfit to own a gun. The same thing goes for the Elliot Rodgers thing. If you obey the law and you're not mentally incapable of properly handling a gun, then gun control laws, for the most part, shouldn't affect you.
