there is a lizard species that does not have males. The females females can lay eggs, though, but for the eggs to be fertile they need to have sex with another female lizard

@mushi Aspidoscelis genus ? I have yet to find a study-case or -report that they do indeed need to have /lesbian/ sex before being able to lay eggs.

@mushi Well, it is the one that spread on all the 6 continents ( arguably with various stages of met resistance, as they seem to be doing way better in Africa than in Asia ( Where it is now almost considdered a delicacy in Taiwan ) ) ... But there are 70 other species of vertebrates in the world that propegate without males.

@mushi Dunno... I'd like to know... For all we know all they need is a applesion-session and BOOM, they are pregnant.
