why did they have to bring black friday to canada

@yodelerty I wasn't aware that they had Black Friday in Canada as well. I avoid going out on that day while the morning deals are happening, as I don't want to get stuck in congested traffic.

@yodelerty You have my sympathies; I don't miss doing retail-type work. I didn't have any type of Black Friday stuff to deal with, as I was working in a grocery store. However, I never knew that there were so many last minute Thanksgiving shoppers until I had that job.

@m14brony there's last-minute shoppers for everything. Like people who wait until after there's a heavy snowfall to buy a snow shovel. There's tons of those.

@yodelerty Indeed. Management actually had to guard the entryways in that grocery store on Christmas Eve, given that last minute shoppers constantly tried to sneak in when the store was closing.

@yodelerty Indeed. Being in retail work allows you to see in microcosm how messed up society truly happens to be. Such a thing is epitomized on Black Friday when people assault or trample each other to death over a discounted television they are going to stop caring about several months after they buy it.
