@nerthos oh god xD.
That reminds me when i overheard some spanish speaking people talking about the time when they asked someone if they could "molestar" someone a little and only then they learned that it means rape hereThursday, 11-Dec-14 00:57:35 UTC from web-
@mushi Oh yeah "molestar" has always been a funny one. In spanish it means "annoy" but in other languages it means sexual activities without consent. One of those little funny things in life.

@nerthos Can mean both at once

@mastertdi Yep, but "molestar" is usually used for mild annoyances. Otherwise stronger words are used.

@nerthos my polish professor told us a thing that happened when she moved to brazil. She was renting the house of another woman, one day someone called her and asked id the woman lived there. Since she never learned the difference between R and RR, she confused "morou" (lived) for "morreu" (died), then she said the woman had died there and it coused a lot of problems

@mushi well, "Morou" works as "lived" in the meaning of someone lived someone, not to say that someone was alive

@mushi That sounds hilarious. I always forget that some languages have only one R.
