Not exactly emo but have you heard La Dispute's Wildlife? you probably have since you seem to listen to everything Anthony Fantano covers

          @rarity Of course, I've heard give or take everything La Dispute have put out. Wildlife is murdocking fantastic too, around the time it came out it was all I listened to. The lyrics are just so drenched in emotional intimacy, and the vocal delivery itself is so impassioned. Amazing record.

          On the topic of Fantano, while I don't actively follow his reviews I am definitely a fan of his. Mostly because he's a great reviewer, I can always understand why he does or doesn't like a record even if I don't agree with him on it, plus his opinions are always well justified. Oh, and Cal Chuchesta is my spirit animal.

              @rarity I actually agree with him on his J Cole score, I never found the guy that interesting as a lyricist or performer. I still feel like OG Maco is sort of a flash in the pan and didn't find that EP/Mixtape/WhateverYouWannaCallIt particularly interesting, so I wouldn't have given it as high a score, maybe another 6.

                @northernnarwhal yeah I agree that J Cole is kinda boring. I'm honestly not sure how to feel about OG Maco either. I mean, "U Guessed It" is probably my favorite trap track of the year just because it's so weird, but I don't know how Maco belongs as a lasting artist. I feel like if he developed himself lyrically, he could really do his weird production justice and make him something classic

                  @rarity That's kind of what I mean when I say I feel he's still a flash in the pan, he hasn't really developed his sound and I assume he can only ride the success of "U Guessed It" for so long before fading out unless he can do something else that's interesting.

                        @northernnarwhal honestly this just reminded me how weird in general mainstream rap has been. OG Maco, ILOVEMAKKONEN, guys like Rich Homie Quan doing autotune voices without any autotune, like what the hell has been going on in 2014
