  1. Hmmm... If that is the case... (Which it is not guaranteed to be, brain stuff... Sky;s tyhe limit!) Then I know exactly what I am going to be... and I am not sure if taht is going to be a good ro bad thing. :/

    1. @metaltao Never do it alone!

      1. @vcgriffin Agreed.

      2. @vcgriffin Something as dangerous should never be done alone.

        1. @metaltao It's also important to have someone you like around so they can keep your spirits high if you start to feel down.

          1. @pandabear yea, and if you feel down it may be easier to talk to them.

            1. @vcgriffin Yeah. I find that people open up about things a lot easier when drunk. Sometimes it winds up being a good thing.

          2. @pandabear Yeah yeah... it's the stuff they teach at school.. They know some of us will probably use the stuff anyways, so they also give advice on how to do it safely in health class along with the usual anti-drug stuffs.\

Thursday, 25-Dec-14 10:55:59 UTC from web
            1. @metaltao Yeah but a lot of what they teach you is blind anti-drug propaganda. Sometimes it's hard to discern what's for real.

              1. @pandabear Not here, DMT is not addictive, but dangerous near windows. Has little adverse effects except for a very unlikely case of psychosis. And they stress the unlikelihood along with Marijuana's small adverse effects, we even delved into how it could be used to treat pain in cancer patients and all that Jazz. Crack is wack and dumb... ruins lives because it is highly addictive and habitable. Plagued Canada and the US in the 70's. People should avoid Drugs because it can alter brain functioning, but that varies from drug to drug and that ranges from negligible to insane. It was not very blind at all. We were taught skepticism and all that jazz.

                1. @metaltao The one big lie they all teach though is that things are immediately addictive. As an ex-smoker, I know that cigarettes don't hook you after just one. However, because the schools told me that people are hooked after just one, I kinda assumed I was immune to it or something, and wound up smoking more later in life. Also, as someone who has personally known rehabilitated heroin addicts, I've learned a few things. For one, the whole thing about the first time being better than any other time is a myth. Also, it's not immediately addictive either.

However, trying heroin just once CAN kill you. Never do it. Under any circumstances. Seriously.

                  1. @pandabear Yeah yeah, I know that Jazz... Nothing is immediate, because all brains are different, all adverse affects range because of the difference of sensitivity to Neurotransmitters and that... You are preaching to the pope here! I apologize if your efforts are in vain, for I know this. They taught that in class. And honestly, I read up on this before hand as well. I was worried they would teach some propoganda in class and I decided I wanted to know what was real or not so I can help the other kids identify this stuff. But I found out this weird class was very proactive and that. It was awesome to see my teacher be so relaxed about it, he even stated he tried some ganja when he was in college and all that, it was not what others make it out to be. It is just a drug, not evil or a spawn of satan. A tool if you will. There are many tools like it, but it could be a better tool for some than others.

                  3. @pandabear I knew it was bad.. .but... damn...

                    1. @metaltao I would almost say the first time is the most dangerous. You don't know your limits, you don't know how to handle it. I've almost lost people to it before. Seriously, stay away from that kiwis.

                      1. @pandabear Understood... I have met some former Heroin addicts on my missions and, their stories are sad. I learned a lot from their strife though. They are nice people. Just had a misfortune of falling into a trap.

                        1. @metaltao Exactly. They aren't bad people or anything. They just had some issues.

                          1. @pandabear Emotional or a Curious vice. Everyone has a vice, theirs just happened to lead them a dark path. And, I like to think of them as monks... the knowledge they have is immense. Not like technical know how, but of the human condition.

                            1. @metaltao Yeah, exactly. I also have immense respect for them to be able to drop such a horribly addictive habit.

                              1. @pandabear But that is the thing, they are never safe. In my psychology classes, Health class, and even my English class, your troubles do not end after you are off it for a while. One will always be tempted by such a strong drug. Especially if one was emotionally invested... Again, it is not guaranteed... But damn, this one happens a lot...

Thursday, 25-Dec-14 11:17:42 UTC from web
                                1. @metaltao Exactly. It's a life-long struggle. It seems really rough. I couldn't imagine going through something like that myself.

                                  1. @pandabear Yeah, my grandfather had to go through that as well, a hard smoker for many years. I think like 2 or 3 packs every day? He made the decision to quite when my sister was born I think... I remember he constantly had to chew on straws...

Thursday, 25-Dec-14 11:20:05 UTC from web
                              2. @pandabear Also sorry if I happen to be a bit rude. I get upset when people tell me what I already know, I feel rebellious and stuff... So, my apologies.

                                1. @metaltao I'm telling you something that you know from books and third hand accounts that I've learned through real life experience. It's one thing to have someone tell you about how bad it is, it's another thing entirely to have one of your closest friends unconscious on the floor after OD'ing, rushing them to the hospital, having no idea whether or not they're going to make it.

Thursday, 25-Dec-14 11:23:20 UTC from web
                                  2. @pandabear Thanks for.. reminding me... I am... I don;t think my empathy will mean much... but I am sorry... I will take this to heart.

I honestly have been plagued with inner thoughts about trying it recently to be real with you... And, I just... forgot. Thank you.. or not.. I dont know, you had to experience that and I am thanking you for that... I feel wrong...

                                        1. @metaltao Curiosity, desire to try it, stuff like that is natural. I'm just trying to tell you, not as a book or a professional or a teacher or anything like that, but as a friend, that you need to stay away from that grapes. Thing is, I read things and heard stories too, but none of that prepared me at ALL for how bad that kind of experience is.
