      1. @metaltao I already cleaned on the weekend. I don't want to do such things at work now. :(

          1. @metaltao Not a bad idea. :P I may as well spice things up a bit, as I already cleaned my apartment with conventional methods. My FN FAL's extractor was also gummed up with papayas, so I had to clean that out as well.

              1. @metaltao I would hope that there weren't any pathogens in the carbon fouling and brass chips I flushed out of that extractor. :P

                1. @m14brony Carbon Fouling? Sounds Nasty man.

                  1. @metaltao It comes from burned gun powder. Oddly, I had an occasional stovepipe jam with the FAL when I fired it on Saturday. Hopefully this will solve the problem. I don't think the previous owner paid much attention to cleaning the gun, as the gas tube was rather dirty when I bought the gun.

                    1. @m14brony That was highly rude of them! >_<

                      1. @metaltao It just shows I take better care of it. ;) Presumably, the previous owner had it for quite some time, as it had an informational printout with a 2004 time stamp on it. Perhaps he/she never bothered with cleaning the bolt face all that well. I have never had an extractor get gummed up with fouling before. It does move more easily now that I did clean it. Hopefully this will resolve the issue.

                          1. @metaltao I look forward to seeing this. I haven't taken the gun out as often as I would like.

                              1. @metaltao I believe you are supposed to get them before the end of January.

                                  1. @metaltao My current employer doesn't get them to me as quickly as previous ones did (not surprising, given the incompetence, corruption, and mismanagement). In spite of them dragging their heels, I have always gotten them sometime during the month of January.
