@m14brony How are you? Inverse Smiley Face.

@metaltao I contacted a math instructor and found out I can test out of that basic math course (it looks like a revised test is being offered in the meantime; many have asked to test out of this newer course). :) I will also finally be able to get my car into the body shop this Thursday (hopefully no one else will hit me while I am sitting at at stop sign after it gets fixed).

@m14brony So, things are looking ok then? Well, that is dandy! And, I am a bit shocked it is taking that long to get a car's exterior buffed and shined.

@metaltao I would much rather study for a two hour test on basic math than take a course on it for several months. ;)
My insurance agent told me that all sorts of claims were being processed on the day I was hit, given the snow and ice that was on the roads. The body shop was so backed up with work orders that things got delayed regarding my car. I am not an auto body technician by any means, but I have a strong feeling a good deal of work will need to be done (replace bumper, replace driver side tail light fixture, new driver side rear panel, etc.).Tuesday, 20-Jan-15 02:32:05 UTC from web-
@m14brony What was the class?
Man, I thought it was more of a small fender bender, not like a full on collision!Tuesday, 20-Jan-15 02:46:21 UTC from web-
@metaltao It is a rudimentary "Math for the Trades" class. It seems to be utterly basic things like fractions, formulas (as in being provided a basic formula and working with it), etc. It is even lower than the prealgebra course that was in its place. It is a shame that I took too many courses last summer, as I was forced to drop the basic algebra course I was taking due to being unable to keep up with the homework (it certainly doesn't feel great to withdraw from a course when you were getting an A in it).

@metaltao I got hit by a larger truck that took a corner too quickly (I was waiting at a stop sign to turn left). The guy driving it slid out of control and both of our rear driver side panels contacted. I am no expert, but I wouldn't be surprised if I had at least $2000-$3000 of damage. Fortunately, the other guy's insurance company is paying to fix my car and get me a rental car.
