Well, that was quite fun, even if the game decided to try to kill my brain when I changed resolution. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wf0vi0XStWk

@bitshift The game has lots of problems in resolutions that aren't marked "safe" (multiple of 320x200), unfortunately. :s

@redenchilada That's a shame, 'cos it's genuinely pretty fun (even if Tails can utterly break that act's difficulty). Feels pretty much like how I'd expect a hypothetical official 3D classic Sonic (Flickies' Island does not count, because that was not real 3D) to play, which is certainly a plus.

@bitshift (it gets boring after a few years :c) I think setting STRETCH 0 in the console might help things some, though, if you wanted to try that. It worked for me back when I played it on a monitor that was 1280x1024.
-
@bitshift also lol, difficulty in GFZ1
-
@redenchilada I never said it was a high amount of difficulty, just that Tails turns it into 0 difficulty, what with the flying and all.
-
@redenchilada I have no idea how to get to the console. :<
-
@bitshift Psst. Wait until you get to ERZ2.
-
@bitshift Doesn't every PC game ever made use ~/`? That should be it, anyway. If not, just pull up the second page of Controls and set it.
-
@bitshift Also PLEASE tell me you're using keyboard+mouse controls for that game. The default controls, to put it politely... suck kiwi.
-
@redenchilada Actually, I'm using keyboard-only right now, but reconfigured somewhat. Seems to work okay. Also, those flying badniks in THZ1 are assholes.
-
@bitshift They're a lot easier on a WASD+mouse setup. You gotta play it like an FPS to get good, mang. That's what it was made from, after all!

@redenchilada As it turns out, 640x400 actually scales pretty pleasantly on my screen (320x200 gets blurry scaling, 640x400 gets beautiful crisp scaling). Handy. :)
