    With Humans having an innate ability to recognize faces, I wonder if aliens will understand Emoticons as readily as we do? Will they laugh at any who proposes that a :D is even a face and not a word of Danger and sex?

      @metaltao No, facial expression is prolly foreign to them. Think about how they live mostly in denser/lighter air and then need higher intelligence to GET here. Also they would treat smile as a form of threat simply because you're showing your flesh-tearing-capable canines.

          @metaltao I didn't say that, all I say that facial expression is bottom of the list for it to be remotely possible to be suggested as an evolutionary step of their form.
