@rarity It was a lot better than I thought it would be, he actually has decent chops. If he could hone his style a bit more he could actually do pretty good things with his music.

@northernnarwhal I think a lot of his issues honestly might be because his voice is obviously that of a 16 year old. So that'll change at least

@northernnarwhal yeah it's not obnoxious just youthful. Only other good young rapper I can think of is Earl and he sounds like a 60 year old chain smoker so that wasn't a problem with him

@rarity He's decent, he had a collab record with MF DOOM last year that was alright, but he hasn't really amazed me yet. I think he has potential though, he just hasn't realized it yet.

@rarity Yeah for me it's probably Madvillainy (which is a popular choice but I seriously just love that album a lot), but TMTYL and Vaudeville Villain are tied for close seconds

@northernnarwhal I think that most of the stuff on TMTYL is samples from old movies like Toho stuff (obviously given the album theme) and other old monster movies? It certainly sounds like it.

@rarity Yeah, I don't know all the sample credits but that's definitely a recurring motif of the album. It give the record lots of personality.
