@abigpony Relatedly, I've noticed you referring to @minti as she several times (that is, when clearly not referring to his OC, who _is_ female). I didn't say anything because it seemed a pretty minor thing to jump on, but now the topic's out there, I might as well say it.

@bitshift I refer to Minti as a "she" because I'm often thinking of the OC when referencing him. The OC confuses me when it comes to him and I just give up on trying to remember it's a he.

@abigpony Yeah, I thought it might be something like that. As long as he's not complaining (and I certainly haven't seen him do so), I don't really see it as a real problem.

@bitshift Yeah. Sometimes I worry it's rude or something to him, but it's one of the few OCs I like, so he get her stuck in my head as being representative of him. Alot of people seem to have the problem as well.

@abigpony That's pretty much the only reason I get it right, because I worry that using the wrong pronouns will really offend someone one day. I suspect I'm being paranoid, but I can't help it.

@bitshift It's pretty justified paranoia, considering how many transgender people there are around here. Correct gender pronouns are very important to them.

@abigpony Basically, transgendered people feel like a gender which differs from their biological sex (also, sex/gender are not the same thing, just similar; that can trip up a lot of explanations), ungendered people don't feel like any gender (again, regardless of biological sex).

@bitshift I see. I have been using it to refer to transexuals from my point of view in the sight that I am unsure of how to pinpoint their gender. Now I know.

@abigpony I might be missing something here, but I'm pretty sure that's the _most_ probable pronoun to offend someone transgendered (by setting them apart from the gender they feel they are, and are already not seen as by a lot of people).
