    In the meantime, I did find some affordable short-term insurance (only covers serious injuries and medical procedures), as using the COBRA option on my current insurance woukd cost enough to be a rent payment.

        @scribus Indeed. I will take the short-term disaster insurance over COBRA or Barack W. Bush's healthcare "reform."
